A tasting room addition for a winery in Newberg, Oregon, imagined as a pavilion set within the lush gardens and vineyards surrounding the winery’s production facilities. Designed for a horticulturalist wine maker and a culinary enthusiast, the pavilion is an experiential filter for daylight, air and Willamette Valley views. The minimal structure is clad in boards of Oregon white oak and blackened cedar, woods local to the winery property.
